Going Home

Last night I literally cried myself to sleep praying for these sisters who have been so heavy on my heart.

Over the last several months I have learned a little more here and there (from visitors to their orphanage) about their disabilities, but more so about their personalities and abilities. And everyday my heart has grown for them, and my longing for them to find their forever family has been overwhelming.

You may remember that the goal was to find Bethany and Erin a family by March, due to Bethany's age. Last month Bethany turned six years old. At this age, at any time, she may be moved to an adult mental institution because of her disabilities.

This thought was what weighed heavy on my mind as I layed in bed last night, but in my feeling of despair for these children, God gave me a peaceful assurance that there is hope for them. And more than that, He assured me that his plans for Bethany are greater than I could ever imagine.

I can't wait to tell you the vision that God gave me for Bethany, but not yet my friends.

Right now I want you all to rejoice with me in God's greatness for today.

Because today I found out that

Bethany and Erin have been found by their forever family.

(and incase you are wondering, yes, I am crying)

I honestly do not know any of the details. But I do know that a family has begun the adoption process for these two girls.

A new journey has just begun for these sisters and their family, and I ask that you will continue to pray with me for these girls as their family goes through the steps of bringing them home. There is quite a process ahead. Pray that all goes smoothly and quickly, and that financially all the needs will be met.

If you would like to help Bethany and Erin's family bring them home, please know that it is not too late to donate to their adoption fund. You can read more about these girls as well as make a donation on their adoption profile page here.

That is all for now, my friends, because now I must go dance in the streets.

P.S..I am sharing this with On Your Heart Tuesdays.

Oh Becca,
I pray the process will go forward quickly and they will soon be in a home where they will be loved and cared for. I don't know if you read my post Dulce Maria but it was about a severely handicapped baby I helped with in Honduras. It broke my heart. Thank you for all you are doing.
