As I slipped off my shoes and walked into the room I imagined that this must be what heaven looks like. It was a simple room in a simple building, but the excitement and joy filled it with riches. In light of what I'm reading right now, this story doesn't surprise me. I also recently read Behind the Beautiful Forevers, which takes place in India, and recounts similar situations. I had already written a post for my blog to go up later today about the importance of sharing these horrible situations through personal stories rather than statistics....And then you did just that giving a great example. So I've linked to your post at the end of mine.

Jill, I just had someone recommend Behind the Beautiful Forevers to me, I will have to check it out. It really is shocking how women and children are treated in other countries...I love that you are helping to spread awareness on your blog.
